Swedbank

The oak, which is the Swedbank's most obvious visual symbol, is at the heart of the concept. As most banks talk and act in a similar way we wanted to give Swedbank a distinct visual identity for their advertising.

The concept of ‘Life under the Oak’ was developed based on the idea of telling modern fables. The bank's customers are reflected through different animals. It began with a squirrel and a duck, and has now expanded to include a rabbit, a wolf family, and a hedgehog.

The narrative technique is inspired by animated storytellers such as Pixar and Disney. We decided to produce real life animal figures and seasonal environments, instead of creating them digitally. We did this using a stop motion technique in order to create a more modern and detailed look. A lot of care was taken in developing the proportions and characteristics of the animals so they felt unique as well as sincere.
